    Canal stays undefeated; Newark National eliminates Pike Creek

    Canal Little League remains unbeaten with a win over Brandywine Little League in game 1 of the night. Brandywine was able to jump out to an early 1-0 lead after scoring a run on an error by Canal. Cana. answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 4-1 lead which proved to be the final score. Neither team was able to put any runs across the board in the final five innings.

    Canal had seven players with one hit while Ryne Beatson, Hunter Pettit, Ethan Tuten, and Maddox Gable each drove in one run a piece.  Jackson Porter led Brandywine with one hit.

    Canal will advance to play Naamans this Saturday night at Pike Creek Little League at 7:30pm.

    Brandywine  will advance on to play Newark National this Saturday night at Pike Creek Little League with a start time of 5:30pm.

    In game 2 Newark National Little League rebounded after a tough loss to Canal in a big win over Pike Creek Little League Newark National scored four runs in the top of the first inning on three hits. They added two more runs in second, one in the third, and another four runs in the fourth to defeat Pike Creek 11-3.

    Ian Robson, Carter Golden, Spencer Crist, and Dominik Troise all had two hits for Newark.  Robson led the team with 3 RBI’s while Golden and Nicholas Fischer each scored two runs a piece. Ben Nelson got the win on the mound going 3 innings while Fischer closed out the game for National.

    For Pike Creek Domenic Harrar led them going 3-3 on the day adding an RBI.

    Newark will advance on to play Brandywine this Saturday night at Pike Creek Little League with a start time of 5:30pm. Pike Creek unfortunately with the loss is eliminated from the tournament.
