Portion of Old Baltimore Pike to close in Iron Hill for construction this weekend

If you plan to drive in the Iron Hill area, you're going to want to find an alternative to Old Baltimore Pike.

A portion of the roadway is scheduled to be closed this weekend for ongoing improvements to I-95, according to Newark Police.

Westbound Old Baltimore Pike is scheduled to close for improvements from South College Avenue (Route 896) to Pleasant Valley Road. The Delaware Department of Transportation said the around-the-clock work will be for concrete median construction.

The closure will start at 9 p.m. Friday and end at 6 a.m. Monday.

DelDOT suggests motorists wanting to use Old Baltimore Pike in this area take west Route 40 to north Pleasant Valley Road until they arrive at Old Baltimore Pike.
