‘Exciting’ Berlin Town Hall renovation project takes first step
The Berlin council unanimously approved Haley Architecture to manage services that will ultimately lead to major renovations at Town Hall. Daniele Haley, principal of the architectural firm, noted Town Hall was constructed in approximately 1900 and consists of roughly 11,200 square feet. The project’s scope will improve the appearance and usability of the structure’s interior. The business is partnering with SR/A for interior work and IMEG for engineering. Exterior work is not currently planned.

Delaware State Police have arrested 45-year-old Matthew Campbell of Townsend, on multiple charges following a crash investigation on Wednesday night in Townsend. Officials said on August 28, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., troopers responded to a collision in the 100 block of Blackbird Forest Road, Townsend, involving a 2006 Infiniti G35 and a 2017 Harley Davidson FLS. Upon arrival, troopers determined that the Infiniti had struck the rear of the Harley Davidson as the motorcycle was turning onto a private driveway on Blackbird Forest Road.

Ocean Pines man arrested following an assault
OCEAN PINES, Md. – On August 29, 2024, at 4:51 PM, officers from the Ocean Pines Police Department responded to an alleged altercation on Newport Drive in Ocean Pines. Upon arrival, the officers learned that a subject later identified as 38-year-old Joseph Pavese, had utilized a screwdriver to puncture a tire on a neighbor’s vehicle. The neighbor witnessed this from inside his residence so he called the police and went outside, at which point Pavese approached the neighbor and punched him in the face with a closed fist.
