Passaic Valley Battles to 2-2 Draw Against Lakeland in Double Overtime
LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Passaic Valley's boys' soccer team fought in a competitive match against Lakeland on Saturday, which ended in a 2-2 tie after double overtime. The Big North - Independence game saw Lakeland take an early lead with two goals in the first half. Michael DaSilva opened the scoring for Lakeland with an assist from Joseph Letterese, and moments later, Letterese found the back of the net with an assist from DaSilva to make it 2-0.However, the Hornets rallied with a strong response before halftime. Luciano Turano scored the Hornets' first goal, assisted by Augusto Kelly, narrowing Lakeland's lead to 2-1.
