Kristy Talks Devils Offseason With New York Post Sports

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald has been busy since the team's regular season concluded on April 15. He hired a new head coach, solidified his goaltending tandem, improved his team's blue line, and added more grit to the forward group.

During a media availability on July 3, Fitzgerald spoke about the roster he is putting together.

"When you look at this team, there's some reminiscing of the past Devils teams," he said. "Being heavy, being hard to play against, identity players on the third and fourth line. It's a well-rounded group and hopefully something that reminds (fans) of the past."

On July 5, Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News appeared on New York Post Sports with Dexter Henry to discuss New Jersey's offseason move and answer the question: Has New Jersey done enough to become a Stanley Cup contender?
