Garage fire damages Glasgow home
Fire damaged a home in the Melody Meadows neighborhood in Glasgow on July 12. The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. in the unit block of Melody Lane. Firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company arrived to find smoke coming from the attached garage. Firefighters from Aetna, Christiana, Delaware City and Volunteer Hose fire companies were able to contain the fire and remained on scene for approximately 90 minutes. No one was injured. Newark to begin charging fees for paying bills by credit card
Starting Monday, residents who make certain payments to the City of Newark by credit or debit card will incur additional fees.
