Marty Dolan: All-Conference Steeplechaser and Academic Achiever at Binghamton
Marty Dolan has made the most out of his years at Binghamton. He has been an all-conference steeplechaser in track & field and has been one of the top runners on the Bearcats’ cross country team. He is a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society and will depart Binghamton with both his bachelors’ and masters’ degrees – both in the realm of humanities. Bears Announce 2024-2025 Home Opener
The Binghamton Black Bears will hang their Commissioner's Cup banner on Saturday, October 12th during the team's home opener. The 2024-2025 FPHL schedule has not been released, but the Black Bears did announce on social media that the team's home opener will be on October 12th at 7 pm against the Watertown Wolves. The team also alluded that the home opener will be the day the 2023-2024 Commissioner's Cup Champions banner will be hoisted.

Binghamton man sentenced to probation after setting fire that destroyed vacant house
A Binghamton man who admitted to setting a blaze that destroyed a vacant house in the city earlier this year will get no jail time. Binghamton police in February charged Terry Bell, 56, with fourth-degree arson, a felony, following an investigation into a blaze at 122 Henry St. in the city.
