Newberry photographer to be featured in national art show

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Professional boutique portrait photographer, Kathy Cafazzo, owner of Kathy Cafazzo Photography, has an exclusive opportunity to submit her portrait photography for display in an upcoming national art show just outside of Chicago in September.

“I’m so thrilled for this opportunity. To be featured in a national art show is an amazing experience,“ Cafazzo said.

The Photography Business Institute (PBI), of which Cafazzo is an active member, was approached to provide photographs for the Simply Me Portrait Project that features children aged approximately 4-8. Studies have shown that seeing photos of family and themselves displayed in the home has a powerful effect on a child’s sense of self-worth and security. It builds the self esteem of children, which is the premise behind the Simply Me Portrait Project.

Each PBI photographer is able to submit up to 10 images for review, one of which will be printed and displayed at the art show. These limited portrait sessions with Kathy Cafazzo Photography must be scheduled and completed by July 15, 2024, in order to be submitted to the national art show. Interested parents or guardians of children aged 8 or younger can contact Cafazzo at 352-316-4575 or Kathy@KathyCafazzoPhotography.com . There is a fee to reserve the photography session, which is then applied toward any art work purchased by the parents or guardians.
