Newberry launches online health care management program
NEWBERRY — Newberry College has announced that it will move its health care management major entirely online, effective with the next online term which begins April 29. The program’s move to an online format will allow the college to better meet growing demand from students and from the health care industry. Students, many of whom are full-time professionals, will be able to complete coursework affordably, anytime, anywhere, and earn their degrees in as few as 18 months. With a wider network of students and an accelerated path to graduation, Newberry will be well-positioned to fill unprecedented needs in the health care field.

WHITMIRE, S.C. — Whitmire returned back to the diamond on Friday night in a matchup against Newberry, but failed short yet again. The Wolverines(1-6) lost 9-4 to the Bulldogs(4-1). Things were tight for about four innings before the Bulldogs made their run. Cash Brown got the start for Newberry and he had a decent outing. Brown gave up two hits, three runs and had a strikeout in 2.1 innings pitched. He was replaced by Edrick Dawkins in third inning and he carried the Bulldogs the rest of the way.
Rebels’ hot bats lead the way in opening day road win over Whitmire
WHITMIRE, S.C. — The Mid-Carolina Rebels(1-0) opened their 2024 baseball season with a huge 12-0 win on the road against the Whitmire Wolverines(1-5) on Thursday evening. Crue Keller got the start at pitcher for the Wolverines and he had a rough evening on the mound. He pitched three innings and gave up 10 runs. The Rebels got off to a hot start at the plate and quickly put up three runs in the first inning. They followed up their first inning performance at the plate with even stronger second inning.

Griffin was recognized for his promotion from Senior Master Sergeant to Chief Master Sergeant, the highest rank that enlisted personnel in the United States Air Force can be promoted to.
