Assault Reported At State Fair Lil Wayne Concert
(Minot, ND) — The Ward County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an assault at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. Authorities say it happened last Wednesday on the north side of the standing-room area during Lil Wayne’s performance. There’s no word on any suspects or arrests, and investigators want to speak with anyone who witnessed the assault. If you have any information, you should contact the Ward County Sheriff’s Department.
21-year-old woman seriously injured in crash that closed Highway 83 near Sterling
STERLING, N.D. (KFYR) - A 21-year-old Sterling woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said she was riding a dirt bike in the west ditch of Highway 83 on the south side of Sterling and attempted to cross the highway to the east at 5th Avenue NE.

The Inter-State Fair was one of many oftentimes competing state fairs held throughout North Dakota prior to the State Fair making its permanent home in Minot with the creation of the State Fair Association in 1965.
