Cleveland mother gets life in prison for murdering her 3-year-old son
A 31-year-old Cleveland woman will spend the rest of her life behind bars after being found guilty of murder for the death of her 3-year-old child last summer. According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, Tammeka Eggleton pleaded guilty to murder, felonious assault and endangering children last month for killing her son, Curtis Witcher.

60-year-old man seriously injured in motorcycle crash Sunday in Goodyear Heights
A 60-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Goodyear Heights, according to Akron Police. The victim was heading east on Onondago Avenue when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle that was travelling south on Mohawk Avenue at about 2 p.m. The 60-year-old was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from his motorcycle during the crash, a release said.

Summit County Fair opens this week; kids under 15 get in free 1 day
TALLMADGE, Ohio – The Summit County Fair is scheduled for July 23-28 at the fairgrounds in Tallmadge, located at 229 E. Howe Road. A family tradition since 1850, the fair offers 4-H and open-class exhibits in livestock, horticulture, floraculture, domestic arts, culinary arts and fine arts.
