Len Barker, former Major League Baseball pitcher, attended the Cy Young festival. Barker, who played for the then Cleveland Indians, threw a perfect game against the Blue Jays in 1981 at Cleveland Stadium. It was the 10th perfect game in the MLB, and Barker is still the last Cleveland pitcher to throw a perfect game.
"He was exceedingly kind and accommodating to his fans and answered a lot of questions which were asked at the luncheon," said Janet Chaney, a member of the Cy Young Days festival committee.

Later that evening, Barker and committee members had dinner at Terry's Pizza Shop in Newcomerstown.
