Pedestrian Struck on I-77, New Philadelphia Patrol Investigating
The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident on I-77 south. The accident occurred near bolivar Sunday morning involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. New Philadelphia post trooper Roy Beach says the victim, 34-year-old Jonathan Mandala of Akron, apparently walked onto the highway from the right side of the lanes and was hit by a flatbed truck just before 10 a.m.
Summit County Fair opens this week; kids under 15 get in free 1 day
TALLMADGE, Ohio – The Summit County Fair is scheduled for July 23-28 at the fairgrounds in Tallmadge, located at 229 E. Howe Road. A family tradition since 1850, the fair offers 4-H and open-class exhibits in livestock, horticulture, floraculture, domestic arts, culinary arts and fine arts.
