Rexburg auto repair shop owner sentenced for tampering with emissions control systems
POCATELLO - Diesel performance parts retailers GDP Tuning LLC and Custom Auto of Rexburg LLC, doing business as Gorilla Performance, and owner Barry Pierce were sentenced today in federal court in Pocatello, Idaho. Senior U.S. District Court Judge B. Lynn Winmill for the District of Idaho sentenced Pierce to four months in prison. GDP Tuning and Gorilla Performance were sentenced to five years of probation. All defendants were ordered to jointly pay a $1 million fine. The companies and Pierce had previously pleaded guilty.

One dead, four rushed to hospital after crash on Fort Hall Reservation
FORT HALL — On July 30 at 10:51 a.m., the Fort Hall Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Arbon Valley Road on the Fort Hall Reservation west of Pocatello. One vehicle had five occupants. One of the occupants, Marlin Uribe, died on scene and the four remaining occupants were transported by flight and ground ambulance to the Portneuf Medical Center for treatment.
Motorcyclist Airlifted After Three-Vehicle Crash North of Moscow
VIOLA – Idaho State Police are currently investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of US Highway 95 and State Highway 66. The incident took place at about 9:23 a.m. on Tuesday. ISP Troopers responded to the scene involving three vehicles. According to the preliminary investigation, an 80-year-old male from Farmington, Washington, was driving a 2017 Acura MDX northbound on US Highway 95. Simultaneously, a 30-year-old male from Moscow was traveling southbound on US Highway 95 on a 2008 Kawasaki Motorcycle.
