RC students get a unique look into local landfill operations
Five Rapid City area students were given the VIP treatment at the landfill this afternoon. The students from Rapid Valley Elementary's Discovery Program enjoyed a tour of the facility, led by Solid Waste Education and Outreach Coordinator Ria Hannon. The students took in a bird's eye view of the recycling facility, learning what can be recycled and how materials get sorted.
