The awareness initiative is a multi-media, multi-year program focused on reducing opioid overdoses and deaths. South Niagara Hospital construction site passes one-year milestone
It’s been just over one year since shovels went in the ground to start building the new South Niagara Hospital. Official say to date, progress is significant on the five-year construction project, which will end with the region having a state-of-the-art hospital. The excavation for the foundation and basement level is complete, with over 1250 steel piles inserted into the bedrock to support the foundation. Elevator shafts and stairwells are beginning to take shape, and most site services, including waterlines, stormwater, and sanitary sewers, are finished.
