Husker football commit earns fourth recruiting star
A Nebraska football commit has earned a fourth recruiting star. Shawn Hammerbeck is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman for Winner High School in Winner, SD. Hammerbeck earned his extra star from the recruiting service 247Sports. The remaining recruiting services rate South Dakota’s top 2025 prospect three stars. Reports suggest the Huskers may play the recruit on the offensive line as a tackle, although he has been identified as a possible candidate on the defensive line. Hammerbeck selected the Huskers over Kansas State, Minnesota, and Texas Tech. Nebraska first offered the recruit in the spring and hosted him on an official visit in April. He returned on an official visit in June before committing to the Cornhuskers on July 3rd.
