Well, as promised today we bring you part II of my interview with several members from the cast of Actors Cooperative Theatre’s productions of Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical stop by and give us a deep, deep dive into the show. Angelica Forcier Rosenthal (Kathryn Merteuil), Garrett Meyer (Sebastian Valmont) and Mackenzie Goodwin (Cecile Caldwell) continue to walk me through more the plays insane “Dantes Inferno” type levels of craziness. Six potential “couples”? Cocaine inside a crucifix? A celebrated death by taxi driver? What is going on here? And to top off the episode we get a sneak peek into their next seasons choice. It’s a play based on a movie that I had no idea was made into a stage production and ONLY ACT would be looking for it!!! 2 new tent platforms built for unhoused Yellowknife residents
Some people dealing with homelessness in Yellowknife now have a place to stay. A group of volunteers has been building tent platforms near the legislature. They started the project in late May, and after some changes, two families have now moved in. Sarah Krymalowski has more.
West Wheelock purchases seek to address housing shortage
On June 21, Dartmouth finalized the purchase of four West Wheelock Street properties as part of an effort to increase housing options, according to the Student Affairs webpage. The $23.5 million acquisition of 14, 16, 41 and 43 West Wheelock — which join five College properties on the north side of the street — makes Dartmouth the largest landowner on West Wheelock Street.
Ribbon cutting at Carey House celebrates renovations to homeless shelter
LACONIA — Fresh siding, better insulation and windows, a new heating system, new playground equipment and several other improvements were celebrated Friday morning at The Carey House, a facility operated by The Salvation Army which for 22 years has been offering a home to people who would otherwise be experiencing homelessness.
