Grand Rapids sure looked like fun this weekend. A huge shoutout must go out to Andrea Koop and Paul Richards for putting on such an extraordinary event. This felt like old school Major League Pickleball. Prior to 2024, every MLP event named a winner. This year, MLP has changed to a regular season format. Obviously, for long-term growth of the sport, the regular season makes sense. This weekend was really intriguing because we crowned winners in both Challenger and Premier Levels.

Josie Muffley is set to return to Rosemont, Illinois this summer with Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball to compete in the 2024 Championship season. Muffley made her professional debut with the league last year after finishing her collegiate career at Florida State. She achieved a 27th-place finish on the leaderboard and was one of two middle infielders named to the AU Pro Softball All-Defensive Team. Muffley started in all 15 games and fashioned seven hits in 35 at-bats including three doubles. She had her best day at the plate on Aug. 5 when she recorded her first multi-hit game as a pro, going 3-for-4 in Team Zerkle’s win.
