    Partnership free business classes

    The Cocke County Partnership/Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) will be offering free business classes followed by counseling services for existing or potential small business owners and entrepreneurs.

    TSBDC will be hosting Creating a Transferable Business, Tuesday, July 23, beginning at 9a.m. The class will be at the Walters State Newport Campus, 115 Mulberry Street.

    At some point, small business owners are going to exit their business. The question is, When ... and on what terms? This course will help take control of that and get the best scenario with an easy to follow process.

    To register visit the TSBDC website at: www.tsbdc.org/training. Registrants will receive an email confirmation.

    The TSBDC is a network of professional business consultants with 14 centers, one Affiliate offices and one online center throughout the State of Tennessee. The TSBDC provides expert business advice to all types of businesses.

    TSBDC will also be offering counseling services for existing and potential small business owners.

    The first step in receiving services from the TSBDC is to visit its website at: www.tsbdc.org and click the “Request Free Advising” button. When registering for services make sure you note who referred you.

    The Cocke County Partnership is a service-based organization consisting of the Newport/Cocke County Economic Development Commission, The Newport/Cocke County Chamber of Commerce, Newport/Cocke County Tourism Council and C5. The Purpose of the Cocke County Partnership is to enhance the county’s economic climate and quality of life for its citizens.
