Stamford community mourns passing of longtime board member John Zelinsky

The Stamford community is mourning the passing of former Board of Representatives member John Zelinsky.

In a statement, Mayor Caroline Simmons says in part, "His involvement and commitment to his community was evident through his work. I am grateful for his longstanding dedication to our city and my thoughts and prayers are with Representative Zelinsky's family and friends during this difficult time."

Zelinsky served on the board since 1977.
