Greenwich implements new leaf blower restrictions

Starting this Friday at 6 p.m., Greenwich will enforce new restrictions on leaf blower usage.

Among the regulations, leaf blowers cannot be operated between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. on weekdays.

Similarly, on weekends and holidays, their use is prohibited between 3 p.m. and 9 a.m.

For violators, the first offense will result in a warning. However, subsequent offenses will incur penalties. The second offense carries a fine of $100, while additional offenses will cost $249 each.
