A storage facility in Spring Valley was targeted in a massive burglary spree. Police say victims are still coming forward days after it happened. It happened Saturday night at the Public Storage off of New Clarkstown Road. Approximately 60 units were broken into and valuable things were taken, according to police. "This number of units that were broken into, we haven't seen something like this in a while. There are so many storage units everywhere and they picked this one in particular, it's definitely something we are focusing in on," says Detective Matthew Galli, with the Spring Valley Police Department. Officers say they can't share a lot of information now on how the suspects got into the facility and units. However, multiple victims tell News 12 their locks were broken and some of the security cameras were spray-painted over. One man says he had about $2,000 worth of collectible LEGOs stolen. "They took two bins and left. I was lucky, this is my whole life. This is my whole life collecting LEGO and this is my therapy," says Anthony Dapolito. Dapolito says the storage facility put new locks on the storage units' gates, but he thinks more needs to be done. Multiple burglary victims tell News 12 they have a lot of questions for the storage facility when it comes to future security. News 12 reached out to the facility but have yet to hear back. If you were a victim yourself to this burglary or know what happened, you are urged to call Spring Valley Police at 845-356-7400. "
