Police: Woman found dead in New Rochelle apartment being investigated as ‘suspicious death’

Many questions still remain about the death of a Black woman who was found dead at a New Rochelle apartment on Saturday. News 12 crews returned to Clinton Park on Sunday where it was a drastically different scene from what our crews saw on Saturday when we first brought you the story about this incident. As News 12 previously reported , New Rochelle police said they received a call Saturday around 10:13 a.m. about an incident in an apartment at 55 Clinton Place. When police arrived, they say they found a Black woman dead. While the cause of the woman's death and her identity have not been released yet, police believe the woman to be around 30-years-old. News 12 was also told police are handling the investigation as a "suspicious death." Meanwhile, people in the community are talking about the incident. Rene L. is visiting from Norway and is staying at the apartment building with some loved ones. He shared how they are processing it all. "It's a bit concerning," the man said. "You get like an uneasy feeling when you hear about stuff like that." He said his loved ones have talked about the investigation with others in the building and are waiting to learn more details from police. "
