Police identify victim of New Rochelle 'suspicious death' investigation; suspect arrested

New Rochelle police identified the woman at the center of a suspicious death investigation they handled over the weekend. Investigators also said a suspect was arrested in the case. Police said they found 30-year-old Meisha Williams dead from an apparent gunshot Saturday around 10:13 a.m. when police got a call about an incident in an apartment at 55 Clinton Place. Detectives identified the suspected shooter as 28-year-old Robert Wooten. Investigators said he was located and arrested in Queens around 9 p.m. Saturday night. Police said charges were pending as of Sunday evening.
