One Lynbrook woman is taking her arts and crafts skills to a whole new level! Marion Schwaner started her own business making customized tie-dye shirts and accessories. She worked at a PR agency in the city. She lost her job during COVID and decided to start up her new business 'To Tie-Dye for Clothing' in May 2020. Tie-dying was a hobby, Marion used to make tie-dye gifts on her driveway with her neighbors. "For Mother's Day, we were making gifts for our moms, and some of the moms from my neighbors and my mom and family friends were saying that I should turn this into a full-time business," said Marion. "It was scary - I didn't know what I wanted to do at first, but I used my public relations and marketing skills to make my own business." She started selling face masks during the pandemic and it took off when Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo posted her business on social media. "I started just doing orders, and then I grew and evolved to doing fundraisers with schools and charities, doing library classes, and doing wholesale – it has taken a life of its own." Marion does all the magic inside her Lynbrook home. "
