The city of Trenton is joining five other towns in Mercer County to participate in New Jersey’s ARRIVE Together program. The goal of the program is to help police officers better respond to 911 calls where someone is in crisis and needs mental health services. The Trenton Police Department will be teaming up with mental health workers from Capital Health as part of the program. “By implementing ARRIVE Together, the Trenton Police Department is taking an important step towards ensuring better outcomes for residents of our state’s capital city who encounter law enforcement while in need of mental health services,” Attorney General Matt Platkin wrote in a statement. Officials say that the ARRIVE Together program is all about improving mental health emergency outcomes. "
