The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has released police body camera video showing Hightstown police officers saving a baby in distress. Hightstown police received a call about a choking baby on March 31. As the officers arrive, a baby can be heard choking, and a woman is heard crying on the police body camera. Officer Kenneth Larsen is then seen performing the infant Heimlich maneuver on the child. A few moments later, the object is dislodged from the baby’s throat, according to officials. “She’s breathing, she’s breathing…She’s OK,” an officer is heard saying. The baby is then heard crying. Medical professionals checked out the child and she was said to be OK. Officer Larsen and Officer Daniel Abbatemarco are credited for saving the child’s life. Officials released the video to highlight their Body Worn Camera (BWC) Wins program – which is meant to show what police officers encounter in their day-to-day activities. "
