A student in Stamford who made a threat Friday to “shoot up the school” on Snapchat is facing charges of threatening and breach of peace, according to Stamford police. In a Facebook post, police say that the dispatch center was alerted by the FBI about a shooting threat. According to police: “The FBI determined that the phone number associated with the Snap belonged to a Stamford resident. After an extensive investigation, agents were able to determine the whereabouts of the phone. Agents also determined that the phone was in the confines of Stamford High School.” Detectives say they identified the student who was then arrested. No weapon was found inside the school. A search of two addresses where the student had direct access also yielded no weapons. The suspect is said to be cooperating in the investigation and has a court date on Sept. 13. "
