He was due to be arraigned before a judge in First District court in Central Islip, but waived his right to appear citing a medical condition. MTA police also charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Authorities say a strong odor of human remains were detected inside the suspect's apartment after police conducted a search last week of his home. Relatives of Seikeya Jones left Central Islip Court sobbing after learning the details regarding how she was found. Prosecutors say Jones was discovered in a fetal position in a suitcase with her wrists bound. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sept. 7.
