‘Local summer’ in full swing as a great stretch of weather arrives in New Jersey

With a great stretch of weather expected this week, many will head to the Jersey Shore for what is known as “local summer.” There were dozens of people out on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach on Monday. Beaches at the shore are open and free, making for the perfect time to enjoy the day without the crowds. MORE: News 12 New Jersey Weather Center "We have a beautiful week ahead of us.
