    University Heights mother says her apartment is making her afraid for her children's health

    Latarsha Haynes says that a leak that started in her bathroom in her University Heights home has moved to the rest of the apartment. She says the leak is causing mold to grow and the walls rot. "I don't want to be homeless with my children, but at the same time I feel like if I don't leave my kids, they're going to keep getting sick," she said. The mother of two, who is now expecting her third child, says that she has been living in her apartment on Davidson Avenue for two years and management does small repairs, but the issues are continuous. New 12 called Fordham Bedford Housing, which owns the building and it said it would be sending a crew to repair the leak causing the mold the apartment. It tells News 12 it will continue to work with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development on renovating the entire building. It say that families will be relocated during the renovation process. News 12's Natalie Hernandez took a tour of the apartment. "
