Extra police presence at Bronxville schools after bomb threat

Bronxville elementary, middle and high schools will have extra police patrols for the rest of the week due to a bomb threat. It was just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when Bronxville police received information from a national hotline about a potential bomb threat located outside the school building. The schools went into hold in place mode. Police from Yonkers, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Scarsdale and Westchester County were called in to assist Bronxville police. K-9 units swept the perimeter of the building as well as cars in the school's parking lots and parked on the surrounding streets. Students were dismissed early so a search of the entire buildings could be conducted. Nothing was found. School officials say police continue to investigate and that it doesn't appear a current of former student was involved. "
