Police: 14-year-old boy robbed at Pelham Parkway station

Police say on Monday, a 14-year-old boy was riding a 5 train just before 5 p.m. when three men went up to the subway cart the teen was in and dragged him off the train. The boy's chain was snatched from his neck and the three men ran off, police say. The teen was not injured in this interaction. According to NYPD data, in the area of the 49th precinct, robberies are down 14% from last year with 174 robberies happening to date.
