While the presidential race is on the minds of many leading up to Election Day, there is another important decision that Westchester voters will get to make at the polls in November. Westchester residents will vote on a proposition that would change the length a county legislator can serve from two years to four years at a time. County Board Chairman Vedat Gashi said the changes will streamline the political process in Westchester. The proposed amendment would keep the legislator's current salary the same, along with their 12-year term limits. If passed, the changes will go into effect January next year. "
