Center Moriches residents are considering forming a new neighborhood watch, in response to a recent spike in crime. The discussion came at a community meeting Wednesday night. It’s the
second meeting in two days to discuss problems plaguing the downtown area. As News 12 has reported, two people were allegedly caught performing a lewd act near an elementary school on two separate occasions. A brawl in the street was caught on camera, and multiple tickets were issued for public drunkenness. Residents and business owners are being urged to report suspicious activity when they see it. Suffolk County police say they have increased patrols in the area. "
