NOW & NEXT: Cooler, drier start to your Tuesday. The cooler air will stick around through the rest of the week, but we will stay dry. Highs today and for the next several days will tap out into the 60s. Our first frost will be possible north of the Merritt Parkway overnight tonight with chilly starts to follow the rest of the week. It will then warm some into next weekend. TROPICS: Still a major Hurricane, Category 4 Milton rapidly intensified Monday and peaked at a category 5. Areas of heavy rainfall will continue to impact portions of Florida today through the end of the week. Milton is expected to make landfall by Thursday morning. Heavy rainfall will bring the risk of considerable flash, urban, and areal flooding, along with the potential for moderate to major river flooding. There is an increasing risk of life-threatening storm surge and damaging winds for portions of the west coast of the Florida Peninsula beginning Tuesday night or early Wednesday.
