    "

DRY MONTH: The second-longest dry stretch is in the record books at 29 days. It finally rained across the borough Tuesday with 0.01" recorded at Central Park. While this barely counts, it is enough to end the rainless streak but keep the chances alive for the driest month on record. The current record is 0.02" in June 1949. https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0f50Gn_0wQ6qbcR00
WEDNESDAY: A warm front to the north will cause temperatures to rise on Wednesday. Highs are expected to reach the middle and upper 70s – well above average for the end of October. THURSDAY: The warmth will peak on Halloween with highs possibly tying a record high of 81 degrees. The current record has been held since 1946. A breeze out of the south will keep locations at the immediate coast in the 70s.

It is too soon to know if it will be widespread, but the chance for rain is highest between 6 a.m. and noon. It turns colder for the weekend before another massive warmup possible next week. "
