I lived in Newark, near Park Avenue in the mid 90’s and worked in the Gateway. I’d take the Newark city subway to work and home. I never had a problem. Today, downtown Newark is far more beautiful than it was in the mid 90’s. Unfortunately, it’s unaffordable to many of the working class people.
