BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is dead and two others were hospitalized following a wrong-way crash Sunday night on Route 33.

Police said just after 9:30 p.m., a Nissan Altima was traveling the wrong way on the eastbound lane when it struck another vehicle head-on near the Grider Street exit.

The driver of the Altima, 26-year-old Grant Beyer of Williamsville, was transported by ambulance to ECMC and was pronounced dead, his family and police confirmed to WIVB News 4. Two occupants of the other vehicle were also transported by ambulance to ECMC to be treated for apparent non-life-threatening injuries, according to Buffalo police.

    The incident remains under investigation.

you know I can absolutely see that happening because I've done it myself back when I was in my early twenties, I wasn't drunk just got on the wrong way and wasn't paying attention . young dumb and full of you know what lol but yeah it's sad to see it happen but don't show up to conclusions because you don't have any idea what actually happened yet... I'm just saying that it can happen without drinking... if you're not familiar with the area or just a newer driver it's easy to jump on going the wrong way...
