BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to all counts in an indictment for fatally shooting a victim on New Year’s Day in Buffalo, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Terrance Johnson, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder, one count of second-degree attempted murder, and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Officials said at 3:23 a.m., Johnson intentionally fired shots toward two victims with an illegal gun at the intersection of Main and Merrimac Streets. 18-year-old Rashaad Brown was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died. The other person in the shooting was not injured.

Johnson faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced on Nov. 6. He remains held without bail.
