BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident Friday night in Buffalo, a police spokesperson announced.

Officials said just before 10:30 p.m., a vehicle struck a number of unoccupied parked vehicles before striking a pedestrian at Deerfield and Fernhill Avenues.

The vehicle, a Honda Civic, left the scene of the accident, authorities said, but was located a short time later by officers.

The pedestrian, a 47-year-old man of Buffalo, was transported by ambulance to ECMC to be treated for apparent non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Police said the driver is outstanding at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call or text the Buffalo police’s confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
