    Power restored to thousands in Evans, Angola

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Thousands of customers in Evans, Angola, and Brant received their power back after being in the dark Thursday night, according to National Grid’s website .

    Over five thousand were affected in Evans, over one thousand were affected in Brant and nearly a thousand were affected in Angola during the peak of the outage. About 800 were effected in Eden.

    A spokesperson at National Grid said equipment failure at a substation caused the outage.
