    Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Niagara Falls

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Niagara Falls, according to the mayor’s office.

    Officials said there was an altercation involving several people that occurred in the area of 287 Hyde Park Boulevard, leading to the victim being struck.

    Niagara Falls police responded to the area around 2:30 a.m. An unresponsive man was found in the street and pronounced dead by medical personnel. The vehicle that hit the victim had already fled the scene.

    Officials later located the vehicle unoccupied in a nearby alley.

    The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
