SUNY Brockport’s Ellsworth wins SUNY Mascot competition

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — SUNY Brockport’s Ellsworth the Eagle took home the crown in the 2024 SUNY Mascot Madness Competition on Friday.

This year’s Mascot Madness included 32 SUNY institutions in a bracket-style single-elimination competition. Each school got the chance to rally together in support of their mascots, allowing voters to select their favorite mascot in each round, with the mascot who receives the most votes advancing.

It was a close match but in the end, Ellsworth rose to the top thanks to social media votes and defeated SUNY Farmindale’s Ram-bo This was Ellsworth’s first Mascot Madness championship.
