    Victor girls lacrosse takes down Brighton in overtime

    BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) — Allie Pisano netted the game-winner in overtime to give Victor the 5-4 victory over Brighton. The freshman scored scored two goals in the contest.

    Ireland Mistretta got the scoring going for the Bruins with a free-position goal to take a 1-0 lead early in the first quarter. A few minutes later, Alexandra Madison scored to put Brighton up 2-0 on the defending state champs.

    However, the Blue Devils responded swiftly. Within a five second period, Pisano and Devin Livingston scored to tie the game up heading into the second quarter.

    Brighton’s Lucy Lederman scored the lone goal of the second frame to make it a 3-2 game into the break. With seven seconds left in the third quarter, Victor’s Libby Boland netted the equalizer to knot it up at three into the final frame.

    Morgan Livingston of Victor and Brighton’s Ella Brunette scored the lone fourth quarter goals for their respective teams.

    Victor (2-2) will hit the road on Saturday, April 13th to take on South Jefferson. Brighton (0-3) will look to grab their first win of the year at Penfield on Monday, April 15th.
