    Victor, Thomas boys lacrosse take down out-of-town foes

    Victor 10, Niskayuna (II) 9 F/OT

    Christian Besaw netted the game-winner in overtime to seal the come-from-behind win for the Blue Devils. The senior scored three of the final four goals for Victor.

    Trailing 9-8 in the final minute, Jack Herendeen netted the game-tying goal with 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

    Victor trailed 8-6 at halftime after an explosive first half from Niskayuna. From there, the Blue Devils defense clamped down allowing just one goal in the last 25 minutes of play.

    Besaw led the way with a hat trick. Herendeen, Brody Secker, Aidan Clinkscales each had two goals a piece. Kyle Saeger also tallied a goal for the Blue Devils.

    Next up for Victor (2-2) is a date on the road at Thomas on Tuesday, April 16th.

    Thomas 14, Hamburg (IV) 6

    The Titans led wire-to-wire to secure their second win of the season. Thomas led 7-2 at halftime and never looked back.

    Eighth-grader Jonah Jobson finished with three goals while Joseph Tiberio also had a hat trick for the Titans. Both Nicolas Ange and Brett Mersdorf tallied two goals. Jagger Altieri, Alex Mulcahy, Brandon Trottier, and Jake Polizzi also scored for Thomas.

    Thomas (2-3) will look to keep their winning ways alive on Tuesday, April 16th.
