News 8 Primetime 585 Elite Awards Winter Sports

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The best athletes, teams and coaches in Section V winter sports will be honored Tuesday night in a special ceremony at the News 8 studios.

The News 8 Primetime 585 Elite will be recognized in a live event Tuesday, April 16, streaming on RochesterFirst.com.

A committee, made up of News 8 and Primetime 585 staff, along with some guidance from coaches and other experts in high school sports, chose the Elite performances in each winter sport. Athletes will be honored in two categories, large and small schools.

The hour-long show will be broadcast on News 8 WROC on April 20 at 8 p.m. and again on April 30 at 12:30 p.m.

And of course, all the highlights, including the full event, will be available in this post following Tuesday night’s stream.
