News 8 Primetime 585 Elite Awards: Girls Bowling

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Here are the Primetime Elite awards for girls bowling, starting with the small schools.

Small Schools

The small school recipient was the number one bowler at sectionals with a six-game series of 1192 leading her team to a Class C championship.

She was named to the Class C all-tournament team, and qualified for states as part of the Division Two team rep from Section Five.

She finished fourth at states in the individual portion of the Division Two competition with a 1212 series less than 50 pins off the top bowler.

Her 690 was the best 3-game series for any small school bowler and number six overall.

She missed the top small school average by less than three-tenths of a pin, but her 194 was second best for small schools and 8th overall.

The News 8 Primetime 585 Elite Award goes to Sienna Hassele r from Newark.

Large Schools

The large school bowling award winner for girls had the top average among all girls also by just three-tenths of a pin finishing with a 205.

She also had the third best game all season with a 277, which was one pin less than the top game.

She qualified for the All-Section team and went to states as part of Section Five’s composite squad.

At the state finals this senior fired a six-game series of 1250 which was good enough for 10th place, and the best performance of any Section Five female bowler.
