News 8 Primetime 585 Elite Awards: Boys track

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Here are your Elite awards or the boys track, starting with small schools.

Small Schools

The small school award winner competes in the brown and white of East Rochester.

This young man has school records in the 55-meters, 60-meters, 200 meters, 300-meters, 400-meters, and the 4 x 200-meter relay.

He was the Wayne Finger Lakes League Champion in three events and is the first athlete to win the 55-meters, 300-meters, as well as the 600-meters at an Indoor Track Section V Championship.

He also competed at the state championships this year and is deciding between several Division I offer for next season.

The winner for the Elite Award for small school track events is Jalen Mccoy !

Large Schools

The large school award goes to a young man who won the Jack Reed High School Showcase, setting records in both the 55-meter and 300-meter Dashes.

At the Section V Indoor Championships, he finished in first place in the 300, and took second place in the 55. He followed that with another win in the 300 meters at the New York State championship.

This runner has the second fastest mark all time in Section V for the 300-meter Dash, running it in a blistering 34.35 seconds.

The Elite Award winner in Boys Track at a Large School runs for Franklin and attends World of Inquiry, Perrion Williams !
